St. Peter Chrysologus
Dear Family of Mary!
"Dear children! You are
not aware of the graces that you are living at this time in which the Most High
is giving you signs for you to open and convert. Return to God and to prayer,
and may prayer begin to reign in your hearts, families and communities, so that
the Holy Spirit may lead and inspire you to every day be more open to God's will
and to His plan for each of you. I am with you and with the saints and angels
intercede for you. Thank you for having responded to my call." (July
25, 2014)
On June 25, 2014 Our Lady
announced to us: "The Most High is giving me the grace that I can still
be with you and to lead you in prayer towards the way of peace." It
seemed that she was even a bit surprised that she was able to remain with us.
Her continued presence with us in Medjugorje is a sign to us that God has not
given up on us yet!
Indeed Our Lady told us on July
25: "You are not aware of the graces that you are living at this time in
which the Most High is giving you signs for you to open and convert."
Indeed, one of the chief signs that God is giving us at this time is the
continued presence of Our Lady in Medjugorje! Her presence is a sign to us to
convert and to be open to God's will in our lives. Our Lady's presence is a
grace beyond measure for each of us. If we are not aware of the immensity of
this grace, we have truly grown dull witted!
Truly this is a time of great
grace. Though we may not "feel" this grace, or understand it, there is one way
to measure it. St. Paul wrote, "...where sin increased; grace abounded
all the more." (Rom 5:20) Truly in our day sin has increased, violence
and strife are overflowing. And so grace abounds all the more, because God will
not be outdone. He is pouring out graces upon us to help us in this battle. And
through our Lady's presence in Medjugorje we can receive those graces in
abundance.
And so Our Lady calls us to
"return to God and to prayer." This is the way to respond to
grace. We must return to our faith, to our deepest faith that God exists. And we
must turn to God in prayer, opening our hearts to Him with expectant faith, that
we will receive what we need in this time.
Our Lady is trying to rouse us,
to wake us up. We may be tired out from the struggle. We may be growing cool in
our zeal. Our hearts may be turning inward, losing perspective. We may be
disheartened. Whatever is drawing us away from our commitment to the Lord and to
prayer, we need to renounce it. This is no time to give up!! Our Lady is with
us, the saints and angels are with us. It is as if a vast army has been gathered
at this moment in time, and we are key players in that army. We, the Church
Militant, are standing at the head of the army of God, positioned to do battle
for heaven, and to win souls for eternity. God sent Our Lady to rally us. We
can't give up now. This is our hour!
"The Most High is giving
me the grace that I can still be with you and to lead you in prayer towards the
way of peace."
Our fight is a fight for peace.
May we respond to Our Lady's call!
In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

Novena Day 4:
We pray that we may place
our trust in the blessed hands of the priests. (March 2, 2014) Our Father...
Hail Mary... Glory be...
Let us pray: O Jesus, our
great High Priest, hear my humble prayers on behalf of your priests. Give them a
deep faith, a bright and firm hope and a burning love which will ever increase
in the course of their priestly life.
In their loneliness,
comfort them. In their sorrows, strengthen them. In their frustrations, point
out to them that it is through suffering that the soul is purified, and show
them that they are needed by the Church; they are needed by souls; they are
needed for the work of redemption. Amen.
