Dear Family of Mary!

Here is a message given through Ivan Dragicevic on June 23, 2017. He met with his prayer group on Apparition Hill that night at 10:00 pm. (I happened to be viewing our POV Camera at that time, and saw all the flash lights and cameras blinking like stars on the hill.  I guess I was present for the apparition!)  Here is his account of the encounter with Our Lady:

After the Apparition Ivan said that he would like to describe what is most important from the encounter with Our Lady. He said that Our Lady came joyful and happy and she greeted everyone with Her Motherly greeting, 'Praised be Jesus, my dear children.'
She prayed over everyone present with her arms extended, and especially the sick present for a while. Then Our Lady gave the message to Ivan:
"Dear children, I came, I came to you and presented myself as the Queen of Peace. Also today, I desire to call you to pray for peace. May there be peace, dear children. May peace begin to reign in the world.
Dear children, be persevering in prayer. Fight against evil and against sin and the idols of today's world which seduce you. Be firm; be strong in faith. And to be strong in faith - pray. Pray, and through prayer meet with my Son, for Him to grant you strength, for Him to grant you the grace. Be open.
The Mother prays for all of you and for all of you intercedes before Her Son. Thank you, dear children, for also today having responded to my call."
After that she blessed all with Her Motherly Blessing and all our religious articles. Ivan said that he recommended all of us, our needs and intentions, our families and in a special way the sick.
Our Lady continued praying over all present and She left in that prayer, in an illuminated Sign of the Cross and She said, "Go in peace my dear children"
I am struck with the similarities between this message through Ivan and the 36th Anniversary message through Marija. Here is that message again, so you can ponder them together:

"Dear children! Today, I desire to thank you for your perseverance and call you to open yourselves to profound prayer. Prayer, little children, is the heart of faith and is hope in eternal life. Therefore, pray with the heart until your heart sings with thanksgiving to God the Creator who gave you life. I am with you, little children, and carry to you my motherly blessing of peace. Thank you for having responded to my call." (June 25, 2017 through Marija)

Trump admin tells United Nations: Abortion is not ‘family planning’

June 22, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) – The new U.S. delegation to the United Nations has rejected a resolution on violence against women because it called for abortion to continue in countries where it's legal.
Canada introduced the resolution, which was adopted by consensus.
The U.S. said they supported it in "spirit," but not its call for "comprehensive sexual and health-care services" and "safe abortion where such services are permitted by national law."
"We do not recognize abortion as a method of family planning, nor do we support abortion in our reproductive health assistance," said U.S. First Secretary to the U.N. in Geneva Jason Mack. The U.S. "must dissociate from the consensus," he said as reported by Reuters.
The Canadian government has made the "elimination of violence against women" a foreign policy priority. In its outline of what this means, there is no mention of gendercide.
Gendercide is the systematic killing of girls in the womb or after birth because of their gender. There are over 37 million missing girls in China because of gendercide. It's a problem in India and other countries as well. In 2012, a Live Action investigation revealed that abortion facilities in America are willing to participate in sex-selective abortions.
In April, the Trump administration pulled funding from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) over its cooperation with China's forced abortion regime. President Trump also reinstated the Mexico City Policy preventing U.S. taxdollars from funding abortion and the promotion of abortion overseas.
Trump picked the former governor of South Carolina, pro-life Nikki Haley, to serve as U.S. ambassador to the U.N.

Dear Family of Mary!

"Apostles of my love, the world is in such need of your arms raised towards Heaven, towards my Son, towards the Heavenly Father..." (June 2, 2017)

This wondrous sentence from Our Lady's June 2, 2017 message has set me to wondering. Our Lady seems to be letting us in on something very important to her. The whole world needs something from us. And we are ready to respond. But what does she ask of us? "The world is in such need of your arms raised towards heaven, towards my Son, towards the Heavenly Father..." What can this mean?

Those in the Charismatic Renewal (which just celebrated its 50th Anniversary) would recognize this posture of raised arms as a posture of prayer and praise. It is a regular part of a prayer meeting, to raise one's arms and spontaneously praise the Lord. This is very possibly one understanding of Our Lady's plea.

But I wanted to look at Scripture, to find out what the roots are to this kind of gesture in prayer. I came across an article which listed several Scripture citations that mention lifted hands (which I think is much the same as lifted arms). The citations are listed below so that you can pray over them, and possibly go to the Bible chapter and read them in context. The lifting of hands (or arms) seems to be a sign of respect, praise, and also supplication. Most of these citations are from Psalms that are laments, in which the Psalmist is begging God for mercy, deliverance and help. The gesture of raised hands is one of submission and supplication.

Psalm 28:2
Hear my cry for mercy as I call to you for help,
As I lift up my hands towards your Most Holy Place
Psalm 63:4
I will praise you as long as I live,
And in your name I will lift up my hands.

Psalm 88:9
My eyes dim with grief, I call to you,
O Lord, every day: I spread out my hands to you.

Psalm 134:2
Lift up your hands in the sanctuary
And praise the Lord.

Psalm 141:2
May my prayer be set before you like incense:
May the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice.

Psalm 143:6
I stretch out my hands to you;
My Soul longs for You, as a parched land.

And from the New Testament:

I Timothy 2:8
Therefore, I want the men in every place to pray,
lifting holy hands, without wrath and dissension.

In 1 Timothy 2:8 we see St. Paul instructing men to pray in this way, with lifted hands, but also with pure hearts. So the early Christians also used this gesture in prayer.

I feel myself that Our Lady is telling us that the world needs our prayer of intercession, a deep intercession that borders on lamentation, a cry to the Father and the Son to have mercy on us all. She sees souls on the brink of damnation, and she wishes so much that we, her Apostles, would join her is lifting our arms to the Father and the Son for those most in need of mercy in these days.

Lifting our arms in prayer is a sign of deep dependence upon the Lord, much like a little child lifts his arms to his father, asking to be picked up. We all feel the need to be picked up by our heavenly Father. Let's lift up our arms, our hands, to Him who loves us and loves the whole world. We can ask for mercy for them all.

PS. I think we can lift up our arms in prayer simply by praying with the heart in deep supplication, praying the Rosary for the salvation of the world, going to Adoration, Holy Mass, and to prayer meetings. I feel this is a gesture of the heart! It is intercession!

Special Guest

Cardinal Ernest Simoni at the evening Holy Mass in Medjugorje

date: 14.06.2017.
Fr. Marinko Sakota had opportunity to welcome one truly special guest at the end of Holy Mass on Tuesday, June 13, celebrated by Fr. Iko Skoko with 24 priests concelebrating. This was Cardinal Ernest Simoni from Albania, who suffered great deal during the time of the communist regime in Albania. When Holy Father visited Albania in September 2014, Fr. Simoni met with him and publicly shared his testimony. This was one of the most moving moments in the pontificate of the Holy Father, and all media spoke about that. It was because of his life of suffering for Christ and Church, that Holy Father appointed him as Cardinal in Rome in November 2016.
Cardinal Simoni on this occasion briefly spoke to the faithful gathered here and he spoke about Our Lady’s role in the history of salvation and about the immense love towards the sinners.

BE READY

Dear Family of Mary!

"My children, be ready. This time is a turning point..." (June 2, 2017)

This part of Our Lady's message has resonated with many of us. We feel the spiritual battle becoming more and more intense. The opposing forces in the world are in a critical confrontation.

In 1976, Cardinal Karol Wojtyła (St. John Paul II) gave a speech during a visit to America in which he described very boldly the situation the world was facing in the days ahead.  He said:
"We are now standing in the face of the greatest historical confrontation humanity has gone through. I do not think that wide circles of American society or wide circles of the Christian community realize this fully. We are now facing the final confrontation between the Church and the anti-Church, of the Gospel versus the anti-Gospel.
"We must be prepared to undergo great trials in the not-too-distant future; trials that will require us to be ready to give up even our lives, and a total gift of self to Christ and for Christ. Through your prayers and mine, it is possible to alleviate this tribulation, but it is no longer possible to avert it. . . .How many times has the renewal of the Church been brought about in blood! It will not be different this time." - Bicentennial talk given in the United States by the future St. John Paul II, then Cardinal Karol Wojtyla of Kraków, Poland (1976)

(I got the quote from an article on The Catholic Thing - It is worth reading!
https://www.thecatholicthing.org/2014/06/01/the-final-confrontation/ )

St. John Paul's words came true even for himself, in that he was attacked in 1981 by a gunman in St. Peter's Square, suffering terribly from his wounds. He was saved, as he said, by Our Lady's hand, guiding the bullet.
But what interests me is that St. John Paul told us to be ready...ready for what? To give up even our own lives, and [to make] a total gift of self to Christ and for Christ. This is what being ready meant to him. I believe this is what Our Lady intends as well.
Our Lady has spoken before about being ready. In this message from 2013 she made it very clear what being ready is all about:
April 02, 2013 "Dear children, I am calling you to be one with my Son in spirit. I am calling you, through prayer, and the Holy Mass when my Son unites Himself with you in a special way, to try to be like Him; that, like Him, you may always be ready to carry out God's will and not seek the fulfillment of your own. Because, my children, it is according to God's will that you are and that you exist, and without God's will you are nothing. As a mother I am asking you to speak about the glory of God with your life because, in that way, you will also glorify yourself in accordance to His will. Show humility and love for your neighbour to everyone. Through such humility and love, my Son saved you and opened the way for you to the Heavenly Father. I implore you to keep opening the way to the Heavenly Father for all those who have not come to know Him and have not opened their hearts to His love. By your life, open the way to all those who still wander in search of the truth. My children, be my apostles who have not lived in vain. Do not forget that you will come before the Heavenly Father and tell Him about yourself.Be ready! Again I am warning you, pray for those whom my Son called, whose hands He blessed and whom He gave as a gift to you. Pray, pray, pray for your shepherds. Thank you."
"Always be ready to carry out God's will and not seek the fulfillment of your own." This is the challenge for us, to seek out and understand God's will for us in these times. This is the only way we can be of some help to Our Lady in this turning point.

"Do not forget that you will come before the Heavenly Father and tell Him about yourself. Be Ready!" We are ready when we are reconciled with God. When we have tried to live our lives in His will and His love, and have followed the teachings of the Church, we will be ready. We will be ready for whatever comes. Being ready is being at peace with God.
We have a great example to follow in St. John Paul II. And we have the best of Mother's in Our Lady. These two guides will help us to be ready, and to face this turning point with faith, hope and love!

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

My Life Has Never Been the Same
By Marie-Adele Hayes
My life was upside down and I was a mess, when a gentleman approached me after Mass one evening and said that Our Lady wanted me "to have these rosaries." I started to cry because they reminded me of my deceased husband's, which I buried with him. The man returned shortly with material about Medjugorje, and invited me to their meetings, where I met many wonderful people.
After some time, even though I didn't really believe in it, I decided to go to Medjugorje. I wanted to see what it was all about. After all, all my new friends had gone and couldn't stop talking about it. On this trip, everything that could happen did, and then some! Every fear I ever had materialized – and I found the Lord is the only one that you can trust.
This was about thirty years ago, and Yugoslavia was still under Communist control. I made the arrangements and was to meet up with a tour group in Chicago. We were to fly on a Yugoslavian plane to Zagreb and then on to Dubrovnik. On the plane from Dallas to Chicago, I experienced excruciating pain in my upper jaw. I found out later that one of my implants had just come away from the bone. This pain continued on and off through my two-week trip. Then when I reached Chicago, I could NOT find any one in my travel group. (My tour group never did materialize!)
When it came time to board the plane, they informed us that we would need to board a bus to get to the plane. I was the last person on the bus, so I was the closest one to the door. When the door opened, there stood a very large Jordanian plane with Arabic writing on the sides. At that time, they were hijacking Jordanian planes and even had killed some of the passengers. Needless to say, no one wanted to get off the bus. We were told it was all right, just to go get on the plane. My sister later asked me, "Why did you go? You were still in the U.S." I don't know; it never occurred to me to stay.
We soon realized that the Yugoslavian crew members couldn't read Arabic. The plane appeared to be very old; you could actually see outside in some of the cracks along its insides. Later in the flight, an attendant came back and took about 12 of us up front temporarily to the first class compartment. When I asked why, he said that they needed to balance the weight. I also asked him what was going on up front, and he told me it was better I didn't ask any more questions. We were never given anything to eat or drink on this 13-hour journey. At one point in the flight, I was speaking to a Protestant girl who was also on her way to Medjugorje. She was trying to learn the Hail Mary so she could say the Rosary. While I was helping her, suddenly the plane dropped about 1,000 feet. Everyone was screaming, including me (this had been one of my worst fears). My new friend turned to me and said, "Why are you yelling? The angels have surrounded this plane."
Mt. Krizevac (Cross Mountain)
Mt. Krizevac (Cross Mountain)
We finally landed in Zagreb, and my luggage had not made it to the plane. All the other people boarded a plane for Dubrovnik, but my ticket had me on another flight at a later time. As I sat waiting, I just watched the soldiers with their guns, all through the airport. Finally I was off for Dubrovnik. When I arrived, a gentleman was waiting with another couple and said that he would place us on a bus for Medjugorje. The bus ride was about two hours, and when we got to Medjugorje, we found out that they didn't have any room for us! We were sent to Citluk for the night and they told us that they would find a place for us the next day. I was glad to have an American couple with me, especially a man, because the Communists didn't seem to have respect for women. I was becoming weak – I hadn't had anything to eat or drink since I left the States over 24 hours previously. The man at the hotel desk called a cab, and he took us to a restaurant. We all had a gourmet meal for about $3.00 each. I couldn't believe it. Back at the hotel I took a shower and realized that all I had to sleep in was my underwear. (My clothes never did arrive until the night before I was supposed to leave. I just washed things out every night and miraculously they were dry the following morning.)
The next morning, a police car arrived to take us back to Medjugorje. The man would not speak other than to open the car door and say "IN" in a very disdainful voice. Looking back, I wonder why I wasn't afraid – I was in a very dangerous situation. The Communist policeman took us to a small house, where I was to stay for a week. It was Holy Week and I couldn't have been in a holier place, but neither did I know or care back then. I was thinking only of myself, and I was not very happy about what had already happened. I just wanted this week to pass and get back home.
I awoke the next morning only to be able to see a Cross on the top of the mountain. It was a beautiful sight to see every morning. I couldn't get over the peace that is in the village of Medjugorje. I climbed Mt. Krizevac, went to Adoration, said the Rosary, and went to Apparition Hill. I also was able to visit Father Jozo in a neighboring village and hear him preach. All of this I thought was wonderful, but it didn't seem to make a great impression on me, at least not at that particular time. The family I stayed with was lovely, even though they didn't speak any English. They couldn't have given me more – they shared everything, and if they didn't have enough they would make sure we got first servings. It's hard to believe how these poor people were so very generous. I watched so many elderly women working in the fields and grape orchards. They would be there early in the morning and still there late in the evening. What really stayed with me was that outside of Medjugorje, no one seemed to smile and I never saw any children playing. They would walk in the street in a straight line with their hands behind their backs. It all seemed very strange to me – almost like a dream. If this was what Communism offered, why would anyone want to be a part of it?
The other couple left and I was alone again for the rest of the week. I spent my time climbing the mountain, praying in church and looking in a few store windows. I couldn't believe how, with all these soldiers all over, there still was an unbelievable peace in Medjugorje. I never felt afraid. I ran into my friend that I had met on the plane, and she told me that she had seen blood coming from the Cross on Mt. Krizevac. I had heard this had happened to a very few individuals, and I was delighted for her. She seemed like a saint. I have often wondered what happened to her, as I never saw her again.
Dubrovnik
Dubrovnik
The night before I left, there was a full moon. It was breath-taking. I associate the full moon with blessings, as all my children were born on a full moon. I went to Mass on Easter morning and then got ready to leave. A guide was to take me to Dubrovnik, show me around the town, and get me to my hotel where I would spend the night before my flight the next morning. In the afternoon, he arrived and the woman of the house started yelling at him, but I didn't know what all the fuss was about. When I got in the cab, another young lady was sitting in the front. I was happy, thinking that I now had company again. She said nothing, so I assumed that she couldn't speak English. When we finally got to Dubrovnik, after my guide had checked me into the hotel, he told me we would then go into town. I left with both of them and my hotel key (thank God) with the name of the hotel on it. When we got into town, he told me that the girl was his girl friend, and they were going to spend a few days together. He showed me the bus I was to take that would take me back to the hotel. After he left, I started to get afraid, as I didn't speak the language and didn't know where to go. The town looked beautiful, but for me, all I wanted to do was to go back to the hotel. I found an English-speaking cab driver and showed him my hotel key and asked him to take me there. When we got back to the hotel, he asked for much more money than the meter called for. I told him that I didn't have that and the meter didn't say that amount. He became very, very angry and said that it was double on Sunday. I was about to cry. He locked all the doors so I couldn't get out. I saw some people walking toward the hotel, so I unrolled the window and started to yell. He told me to get out. I threw some money at him and ran as fast as I could. Shaking, I went up to my room and locked the door. After I had gathered my senses back, I decided that I would call down to the lobby for a sandwich, as I didn't want to leave my room. The phone was dead! All night long I kept praying, "I believe in God, etc." I prayed that prayer over and over again all night long. Finally, dawn came, and I went downstairs to get my passport from the desk clerk and tell him to call the cab for the airport.
When I got to the counter at the airport, the clerk looked at my ticket and just said, "Sit down." He was trying to show me something in a book. They had no computers, just loose-leaf books. When I tried to tell him my plane was about to leave, he just repeated, "Sit down!" Now I was close to tears and was shaking. As the airport lobby thinned out, I saw what looked like a cafeteria and decided to sit there. I got a cup of coffee and started praying – I don't believe I have ever prayed that hard before or since. I kept asking the Lord to PLEASE HELP ME! After sitting there for what seemed like eternity, a man came up to me and, in perfect English, asked if HE COULD HELP ME. I started to cry. I told him of my situation, and he said I needed to get to a computer, which was in the basement of the airport. He took me downstairs to the computers, and he and a woman started talking in some language that I didn't understand. He started yelling and she was yelling right back. Finally, she started typing and then handed him another ticket. He told me I had a seat on the plane and I would be going home. I really started crying then. Back upstairs, he asked me if I wanted something to eat, and I realized I again hadn't eaten in over 24 hours. He took me to a restaurant in the airport and we ordered breakfast. Then it really got weird! He didn't have any money, and after I paid the bill, he told me that he was from Germany and was there just for the weekend and didn't have any luggage. He told me to stay in the airport and not to leave, no matter who or what tried to get me to go outside. He said I was safe as long as I stayed in the airport. He asked me to walk him to his plane and act as if I had known him for years. He also wanted to carry my luggage, but I wouldn't allow him. He had his arm around me and kept asking me to join him. I thanked him and repeated that I just wanted to go home. He asked me to stay there and wave to him as the plane took off. After the plane left, I returned to the lobby of the airport. It was almost deserted then. I sat there and a policewoman came and sat a few feet from me. She followed me wherever I went in the airport, even to the bathroom.
Around 2:00 that afternoon, I heard English being spoken. I could never express what a beautiful sound that was to me. I ran to meet them – a group of Jewish couples who had been touring Europe and heading back to the States. I told them briefly what had happened. They said not to worry, that I was with them now, going back to the United States. The Lord had heard me and I was going home! The trip back was wonderful. I sat beside a nun who introduced me to a famous healing nun who was also on the plane. I kissed the ground when I got back and thanked God for all His goodness and also allowing me to be born and raised in the United States. I thank you, Jesus, for all your blessings and forgiveness.
From the time I got back home from Medjugorje, my life changed for the better. I have met so many wonderful and blessed people. I no longer travel in the fast lane, but I enjoy life like never before. I have a peace that didn't exist for me before, and I do everything I can to keep it. I know now that Jesus is in control of everything, and nothing is going to happen unless HE allows it. What happened on that trip had to happen; otherwise I would not have attempted to change. I trusted no one and believed in nothing.
I did ask my cousin, who is a Jesuit priest, about the gentleman in the airport. He thought he was a spy for both countries, who probably thought that I might be one also, because a woman would never travel in a Communist country by herself. Angel or spy, he got me out of there, and my life has never been the same. God works in mysterious ways!

2017.06.03 Pentecost Vigil

Streamed live on Jun 3, 2017
INTERNATIONAL SOUND Pope Francis takes part in the Pentecost Vigil organized by the Catholic Charismatic Renewal.

Today is the great feast day of Pentecost

Come, Holy Spirit

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzmz3PDLo25maRX_EzTrDUjreHZrS9KkvJM6XKLxEUJLrlauGNvpVVb6Lq4XNEegv7pmA3UWHmk0mR1vigAiPzgqPLKQRhuAwddwUumC3f4LYzb5tHNmHdeGvFOJ-dDI1RvxqQoSXk1WAZ/s1600-h/Feast+of+Pentecost.jpg
THE GREATEST PENTECOST" - All were filled with the Holy Spirit." —Acts 2:4

Today is Pentecost. It is not merely a reminder of a past event, but a continuation of the Spirit renewing the face of the earth (Ps 104:30). Today's Pentecost will not be a shadow of the first Pentecost, rather the first Pentecost is a shadow of today's Pentecost. God's grace is abounding all the more (see Rm 5:20). The Spirit is not diminishing His work in our world, but increasing it. It will not be only thousands who come to Jesus today (see Acts 2:41), but millions. The waters of the Spirit become deeper as they flow further around the world and into history.

Totally surrender your life to Jesus. Renounce Satan and all His works. Repent of sin. Ask for the Spirit. Ask Spirit-filled believers to lay hands on you. Receive the Spirit. As you receive prayers for the Spirit, express your love for the Lord by praising Him in your native language and in other languages. Go out and tell others about your love for Jesus. Pentecost begins by taking little steps of repentance, prayer, praise, and evangelization. If you obey the Lord, you won't stifle the Spirit. Pentecost is now. The greatest Pentecost is now. Come, Holy Spirit!

Father, give me the gifts to praise You in tongues, to prophesy, and to evangelize.

Medjugorje: Our Lady's message to Mirjana of June 2, 17

“Dear children, as in the other places where I have come to you, also here I am calling you to prayer. Pray for those who do not know my Son, for those who have not come to know the love of God, against sin, for the consecrated - for those whom my Son called to have love and the spirit of strength for you, for the Church. Pray to my Son, and the love which you experience from His nearness will give you the strength to make you ready for the works of love which you will do in His name. My children, be ready. This time is a turning point. That is why I am calling you anew to faith and hope. I am showing you the way by which you need to go, and those are the words of the Gospel. Apostles of my love, the world is in such need of your arms raised towards Heaven, towards my Son, towards the Heavenly Father. Much humility and purity of heart are needed. Have trust in my Son and know that you can always be better. My motherly heart desires for you, apostles of my love, to be little lights of the world, to illuminate there where darkness wants to begin to reign, to show the true way by your prayer and love, to save souls. I am with you. Thank you.”
