Prayer for Healing

Lord Jesus, you came to heal our wounded and troubled hearts. I beg you to heal the torments that cause anxiety in my heart; I beg you in a particular way, to heal all which are the cause of sin.

I beg you to come into my life and heal me of the psychological harms that struck me in my early years and from the injuries that they caused throughout my life.
Lord Jesus, you know my burdens.
I lay them all on your Good Shepherd’s Heart. I beseech you, by the merits of the great, open wound in your heart, to heal the small wounds that are in mine.
Heal the pain of my memories, so that nothing that has happened to me will cause me to remain in pain and anguish, filled with anxiety.
Heal, O Lord, all those wounds that have been the cause of all the evil that is rooted in my life. I want to forgive all those who have offended me. Lord, look to those inner sores that make me unable to forgive.
You who came to forgive the afflicted of heart, please heal my own heart.
Heal, my Lord Jesus, those intimate wounds that cause me physical illness. I offer you my heart. Accept it, Lord, purify it and give me the sentiments of your Divine Heart. Help me to be meek and humble.
Heal me, O Lord, from the pain caused by the death of my loved ones, which is oppressing me.  Grant me to regain peace and joy in the knowledge that you are the Resurrection and the Life!
Make me an authentic witness to your Resurrection, your victory over sin and death, and your living presence among us. Amen.

December 25, 2018  Medjugorje Message from Our Lady
“Dear children! I am carrying to you my Son Jesus who is the King of Peace. He gives you peace and may it not be only for you but, little children, carry it to others in joy and humility. I am with you and am praying for you in this time of grace which God desires to give you. My presence is a sign of love here while I am with you to protect you and lead you towards eternity. Thank you for having responded to my call.”

Christmas message to Jakov
“Dear children, on this day of grace, I am calling you to love. Little children, God loves you immeasurably and that is why, little children, full of trust and without looking back and without fear, completely surrender your hearts to Him so that God may fill them with His love. Do not be afraid to believe in His love and mercy, because His love is stronger than every one of your weaknesses and fears. Therefore, my children, full of love in your hearts, trust in Jesus and say your ‘yes’ to Him, because He is the only way which leads you to the Eternal Father.”

THE HOLY CATHOLIC CHURCH

Oh, Bride of Christ, you’re beautiful
So radiant your face.
Crowned in love by holy priests
Your raiment spun of grace.

Attended to by angel choirs
That ever sing your praise,
The mother of the blessed saints
Who wisely chose your ways.

Protector of the Eucharist
Beloved of the Queen,
The keeper of the flame of faith
The door to truths unseen.

Pure flower of the Spring of Life
The soul’s sweet lullaby,
Oh, God’s most gracious gift to man
Through you how blessed am I.

St. John Paul II Advent Prayer

May the Virgin Mary help us to open the doors of our hearts to Christ, Redeemer of man and of history; may she teach us to be humble, because God looks upon the lowly; may she enable us to grow in understanding the value of prayer, of inner silence, of listening to God's Word; may she spur us to seek God's will deeply and sincerely, even when this upsets our plans; may she encourage us while we wait for the Lord, sharing our time and energies with those in need.
Mother of God, Virgin of expectation, grant that the God-who-comes will find us ready to receive the abundance of his mercy.
May Mary Most Holy, "Woman of the Eucharist" and Virgin of Advent, prepare us all to joyfully welcome Christ's coming and to celebrate worthily his sacramental presence in the mystery of the Eucharist. -St. John Paul II

Bishop Backs Medjugorje

Another Bishop Backs Medjugorje

From La Luce di Maria:
medjugorje
Many people who have visited Medjugorje, both laity and religious, have brought their testimony to the parishes, to their families of origin , allowing others to know what happens in the presence of the Queen of Peace.
Here is the testimony of Monsignor Domenico Pecile , Bishop Emeritus of Latina: “Medjugorje is a reality. I see it as a place that has received a great gift. Our Lady comes here, as she has come to many other places and perhaps in the future she will go … somewhere else. It is not strange, mysterious that Our Lady appears. She always appears to help us return to God.

How many clouds do you see stand alone like this in the shape of a flame up close and vertical? Sooo cool

Dear Family of Mary!

" ...I know that you desire to have a strong faith and to express it in the right way. What my Son asks of you is to have a sincere, strong and deep faith - then every way in which you express it is proper. Faith is a most wonderful mystery which is kept in the heart. It is between the Heavenly Father and all of His children; it is recognized by the fruits and by the love which one has towards all of God's creatures..." (December 2, 2018)

Advent is a time of faith. We are waiting on several different levels. We wait for the Second Coming of Christ. We wait for our own particular judgement (when we die). And we wait for the celebration of the Incarnation and Birth of Jesus! Christmas!!! We wait with faith on all three accounts. Faith is what gives meaning and hope in each case.

And so I am really intrigued by Our Lady's little teaching on faith in the December 2nd message. She seems to understand that Advent is all about faith. And she shows us how we can best relate to it.

She tells us she knows we desire to have a strong faith. She knows that we struggle sometimes in our very challenging world to maintain a strong faith. We live among so many who do not have faith (yet). And there is a river of public opinion that would move us away from our faith in God. This pressure makes us maybe too quiet about our faith. It is not easy to go upstream.

And so she tells us what Jesus would have us know, "What my Son asks of you is to have a sincere, strong and deep faith - then every way in which you express it is proper." Jesus does not want us to be shy about our faith. But strong faith without sincerity or depth will not be enough. To be sincere means that our faith has become personal. Our faith is not a habit or a way of life that makes us feel safe. No, our faith needs to come out of our personal relationship to the One in whom we believe. Our faith has to rest on Jesus.

And our faith also needs to be deep. What does this mean? I think it means that our faith, our belief in Jesus has to come from the very bottom of our heart, the very bedrock of who we are. Our faith cannot be just one of the things we do in life. It has to be the basis of who we are! A deep faith is one that will never be shaken. Why? Because we have been deeply and powerfully loved by our Savior.

I am also blown away by the next sentences: "Faith is a most wonderful mystery which is kept in the heart. It is between the Heavenly Father and all of His children..." Imagine! Our faith is a mystery, my faith cannot be understood by anyone else but me. My faith is so intimate that only the Father understands where it comes from and how I got it. My faith is a function of the Father's love for me and my response to Him. Our God respects each one of us so much that He will never disclose what is in our hearts to others, and He will always be faithful to that intimacy. He sees, He understands, He loves, where no one else can go, the depths of our hearts. And it is from that love that our faith springs.

Only God can love each one of us individually, all the billions of humans He has created are each known and loved by Him intimately and uniquely. No one is unnoticed or unloved. No one.

The only way we can see the faith of another is through the fruits of their lives. "...it is recognized by the fruits and by the love which one has towards all of God's creatures..." It is by our love that we are recognized as people of faith. Our good works and our great-heartedness show the footprints of God's presence in us. It can't be counterfeited.

Well, I just love Our Lady's words on faith. May we all take time in the Advent season to go deeply into ourselves, to find that spot where the Heavenly Father resides in us, and let Him share the mystery with us. Oh the joy!!!

PS. Christine Watkins has written a new book, "Of Men and Mary." It is a wonderful book about the conversions of six different men, through Our Lady. Thank you, Christine for your tireless efforts to help us grow closer to Our Lady and Jesus!

A quote from one review of the book: OF MEN AND MARY recounts the riveting conversion stories of, among others, a convicted murderer and a man who was clinically dead. Three of the book's six subjects became Catholic priests and one became a deacon.  At a time when men are feeling discouraged and disengaged from the Church and the priesthood is under attack, this book offers a much-needed dose of hope, courage and inspiration. Female readers will also want to hear her grace-filled message-and to share it with the men in their lives.

Medjugorje: “I came here to see with my own eyes

Bishop Touts Fruits At Medjugorje

medjugorje
Monsignor Thomas L. Dupre, Bishop of Springfield (Massachusetts, USA), is one of those prelates who wanted to visit Medjugorje, to bring back to their homeland everything that happened in that place touched by divine grace.
The one who led him there was a priest on his sixth trip to Bosnia-Herzegovina: “I came with a friend, Father Henry Dorsch, who has been here five times in the last 15 years.

Medjugorje: “I came here to see with my own eyes”

This is his sixth time. He has spoken many times about Medjugorje and is certainly a very committed, devoted and good Priest. He always speaks very well of his experience here in Medjugorje. Thus, it is useless to say that I was influenced by him, as by many other people who spoke of their coming to Medjugorje. This interested me and I had the opportunity to come here this year . I came here to see with my own eyes and listen with my ears and then formulate my impressions “.
Monsignor Thomas L. Dupre, who as a boy was “fascinated” by the apparitions that took place in Fatima, could not but also visit Medjugorje.
“When I was eleven-twelve I already had a strong devotion to Our Lady of Fatima . I am still today and I really believe in that appearance. Also in Lourdes. When I was ten, I saw a film called “The Song of Bernadette”, which tells the story of Bernadette and Lourdes. I was very moved, it was very important to me. These two apparitions have been a large part of my life. Medjugorje is a little different, because it has not yet received the full recognition of the Church and, like many others, I await the final decision of the Church.
But there is a part of me that wants to believe these apparitions. I came to see with my own eyes … I believe that many wonderful spiritual fruits have been produced here. People, of course, are very religious, very devout, very fervent, they receive the sacraments, they pray a lot. ”

Mirjana Soldo encounters Our Lady - December 2, 2018

  (c)Anthony Zubac

December 2, 2018
First Sunday of Advent
Dear Family of Mary,

Here is the message to Mirjana Soldo of December 2nd, 2018:

Dear children! When you come to me, as to a mother, with a pure and open heart, know that I am listening to you, encouraging you, consoling you and, above all, interceding for you with my Son. I know that you desire to have a strong faith and to express it in the right way. What my Son asks of you is to have a sincere, strong and deep faith - then every way in which you express it is proper. Faith is a most wonderful mystery which is kept in the heart. It is between the Heavenly Father and all of His children; it is recognized by the fruits and by the love which one has towards all of God's creatures.

Apostles of my love, my children, have trust in my Son. Help all of my children to come to know His love. You are my hope - you who strive to sincerely love my Son. In the name of love, for your salvation, according to the will of the Heavenly Father and through my Son, I am here among you. Apostles of my love, along with prayer and sacrifice, may your hearts be illuminated with the love and the light of my Son. May that light and love illuminate all those whom you meet and bring them back to my Son. I am with you.

In a special way, I am alongside your shepherds. With my motherly love I illuminate and encourage them that, with the hands blessed by my Son, they may bless the entire world. Thank you.
