Pope Francis: the Holy Spirit is our travelling companion

06/05/2013 13:11:22: The Holy Spirit prepares us to encounter Jesus: this was the message of Pope Francis in his homily at Mass on Monday morning in the Casa Santa Marta, in which he talked about the importance of examining one's conscience on a regular basis. "We ask for the grace to become accustomed to the presence of this companion on our journey: the Holy Spirit," said Pope Francis, "this witness of Jesus who tells us where Jesus is, how to find Jesus, what Jesus tells us. Jesus gives the Spirit to us as a friend. Let us get used to asking ourselves, at the end of the day: "What did the Holy Spirit work in me today? What witness did He give me? What did He say to me? How did He move me? For, the Holy Spirit is a divine presence.

Dear children! I rejoice with you and in this time of grace I call you to spiritual renewal. Pray, little children, that the Holy Spirit may come to dwell in you in fullness, so that you may be able to witness in joy to all those who are far from faith. Especially, little children, pray for the gifts of the Holy Spirit so that in the spirit of love, every day and in each situation, you may be closer to your fellow-man; and that in wisdom and love you may overcome every difficulty. I am with you and I intercede for each of you before Jesus. Thank you for having responded to my call.
