Hundreds of thousands from around the nation
gathered for the 40th March for Life in Washington, D.C. on Friday, January 25. The yearly event commemorates the anniversary of the infamous Roe v. Wade decision which legalized abortion on demand.

Despite the freezing conditions and snow, an immense crowd could be seen in all directions, composed mostly of young people full of enthusiasm for the cause of the unborn and the future of the family. A veritable sea of banners and signs from groups around the nation blanketed the National Mall as the opening rally began Friday afternoon.

The International Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Our Lady of Fatima graced the 40th March for Life in Washington, D.C. with her maternal gaze.
As the massive sea of humanity made its way up Capitol Hill to the steps of the Supreme Court, members of the American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family, and Property (TFP) marched with red standards flying, and the ever-popular marching band, complete with brass, bagpipes and drums to encourage the crowd. International delegations of sister TFPs from Belgium, Germany and Italy joined the march.

The events of the day were a tribute to the life of Miss Nellie Gray, foundress of the March for Life, underscoring the need for new leaders in the fight against the sin of abortion, as well as renewed perseverance and confidence in this noble struggle.

This year’s March comes amid a flurry of pro-life activity around the country, including a remarkable upswing of well attended local marches from coast to coast.

The Fight of 40 Years: Perseverance Bearing Fruit

Two weeks prior to the March, the leadership of Planned Parenthood, America’s largest abortion provider, announced they would no longer be using the term ‘pro-choice.’ Americans today rightly see pro-choice as being pro-abortion, contrasting with the growing number of Americans, especially youth, who reject the sin of abortion and identify themselves as pro-life.

This news comes as a growing number of states have succeeded in defunding Planned Parenthood. Ten states have successfully ended funding for the abortion giant, with many more plans to do so in other states during the legislative sessions of 2013. The amount of taxpayer dollars from the above mentioned states alone which are no longer going to fund abortion amounts to more than $60 million.

As pro-life efforts in states around the nation meet with increasing success, one columnist went so far as to label 2012 a ‘disaster for abortion rights.’ The cover story for the January 14 issue of Time Magazine, no friend of the right to life cause, published the very telling headline: “40 years ago, abortion-rights activists won an epic victory with Roe vs. Wade. They’ve been losing ever since.”

All of this coincides with the resignation of Nancy Keenan, president of NARAL Pro-Choice America. The main reason Keenan gave for stepping down from her position, reports The Washington Post, was a lack of young pro-abortion activists. This reiterates what many in the pro-life movement have known for a long time: aging pro-abortion activists are trying to force the sin of abortion on a generation that is increasingly rejecting it.

Members of the American TFP and its America Needs Fatima campaign were out in force at this year’s March to distribute a flyer titled “Saint Michael the Archangel and the Pro-Life Victory.” This flyer was warmly received, with thousands and thousands handed out over the course of the day. Many intended to take advantage of the attached offer for a free St. Michael Chaplet.

As America is threatened by enemies both internal and external, we know the great battle before us cannot be won by mere human efforts. Devotion to Saint Michael in the highest degree will ensure victory not just in the fight against abortion, but in the battle for America’s soul, the spiritual combat of the 21st century. As the forces of darkness increase their efforts to destroy all that remains of good in America, let us increase our confidence all the more in the certain victory of the Prince of the Heavenly Armies.

As this 40th March for Life falls on the Feast of the Conversion of Saint Paul the Apostle, let us pray that America become like a new Saint Paul, zealously fighting all the errors she has promoted, and the instrument of extraordinary grace in the restoration of Christian civilization.

When everything is being presented as lawful, we get to live in a world that is not real, visionary Marija Pavlovic-Lunetti said after receiving the Virgin Mary’s message on January 25. Visible fruits are arrogance, selfishness, and lack of respect, but Mary is creating a new civilization, she added.

Medjugorje visionary Marija Pavlovic-Lunetti reinforced her critique of modern society and living on the phone to Radio Maria shortly after receiving the Virgin Mary’s message on January 25.

”It seems that we are living in an unreal situation here because everything is lawful. Do you feel comfortable when you look at the city, the schools with bullying, so many things? This is not an Earth where each respects the other. Arrogance and selfishness are prevalent. I feel this very strongly. It seems like we have lost God in the middle of the road” Marija said.

The visionary went on to explain that the Virgin Mary talks about the antithesis and remedy to society’s ills in her reference to “a living stone” in the January 25 message, here in its entirety:

“Dear children! Also today I call you to prayer. May your prayer be as strong as a living stone, until with your lives you become witnesses. Witness the beauty of your faith. I am with you and intercede before my Son for each of you. Thank you for having responded to my call.”

”Our Lady asks us that all the moments of our lives are forever connected to God. And that she also wants through this message. Because, also now in this message, she wants us to become strong as living stones. With these stones we can also build a new society because this society is terrible company” Marija said, adding that the cure comes one person and one personal decision at a time:

”The Madonna began, we deeply believe, to create a new civilization with all the people who found the faith. So often we find that people who have found the truth of God become stronger every day and have converted and become witnesses. When such a person starts talking, you become speechless because this person has the experience of God in his life and transmits it by his words” the visionary said.

”Our Lady always tells us that if you do not pray and fast, or if your fast is weak, you cannot resist. The two must go together. Through fasting and prayer, the desire to convert immediately arrives in the heart.”

One closes oneself up in sin, thus making impossible one's conversion, and consequently the remission of sins, which one considers not essential or not important for one's life. This is a state of spiritual ruin, because blasphemy against the Holy Spirit does not allow one to escape from one's self-imposed imprisonment. "

Today's Meditation


Luke 1:1-4; 4:14-21
Today this scripture passage is fulfilled in your hearing. (Luke 4:21)

Returning to his hometown of Nazareth, Jesus was invited to speak in the synagogue. His reputation as a wonder worker and powerful preacher had preceded him, and the people hung on his every word. This was not the first time that they had heard this passage—it was part of their regular cycle of Scripture readings. But this time it was different. Jesus spoke with unmistakable authority, and their hearts were stirred.

What made the difference? The Spirit of anointing rested on Jesus just as he had filled the prophet who first spoke these words. The words came alive as Jesus declared, “He has sent me to proclaim liberty to captives.” You can just imagine some of the people seeing themselves in those words for the first time—and sensing that their own deliverance was at hand!

How can we have this same experience? What will make the Scriptures leap off the page for us? The Spirit of anointing! When you read the Bible, invite the Holy Spirit to help you. Ask him to open your eyes to his truths in a deeper, more personal way. Read the passage carefully, and make sure you understand what it is saying. Use a commentary or a good study Bible, but don’t stop there. Prayerfully ponder what you have read. Let the words echo in your mind and heart. If a particular verse or even a word strikes you, stay with it and see what happens. Give it time, and don’t worry about the rest of the passage. Maybe the Lord wants to say something to you personally right then and there.

Finally, make sure you write down whatever sense you receive as you ponder the word of God. Keep a prayer journal so that you can review it every now and then to see how much the Lord is doing in your life. He wants to talk with you! He wants you to learn how to hear his voice!

WHICH DESIRE CONSUMES YOU?


"I remind you to stir into flame the gift of God bestowed when my hands were laid on you. The Spirit God has given us is no cowardly Spirit, but rather One that makes us strong, loving, and wise." -2 Timothy 1:6-7

Most of us reading this are baptized and confirmed. Therefore, we already have the Holy Spirit living in us. This indwelling of the Spirit should make us ever more desirous to receive the Spirit in new and deeper ways.

However, we could react to our present life in the Spirit by quenching any further desire for the Spirit. Thus, our attitude towards our Baptisms and Confirmations would be something like a vaccination, which makes us immune to the fullness of the Holy Spirit. We must stir into flame the gift of the Holy Spirit (2 Tm 1:6-7). In this way, the Spirit will renew the face of the earth.

Do you want a deeper life in the Spirit more than you want anything else? Do you want the Spirit fully blazing in your life more than you want to breathe? Would you pray in an upper room for nine days to receive the Spirit more powerfully? Would you suffer to receive and to give the Spirit in Pentecost after Pentecost? Pray to have a strong, consuming desire for the fullness of the Spirit. "Receive the Holy Spirit" (Jn 20:22).
Prayer: Jesus, be Lord of my desires.

More than 500,000 people are attending today’s March for Life in a massive attendance that could be well higher than that estimate and set records for the annual pro-life event challenging the mantra of unlimited abortion.

Buses from around the country, mostly chartered by Catholic schools and organizations, brought groups of people to the Mall for a pre-march rally in which politicians, religious leaders and activists decried the 55 million abortions they said had been performed since the Roe v. Wade decision.

The archbishop of Boston, Cardinal Sean O’Malley, read a message posted early Friday by Pope Benedict XVI from his personal Twitter account: “I join all those marching for life from afar, and pray that political leaders will protect the unborn and promote a culture of life.”

House Speaker John A. Boehner (R-Ohio) appeared on a giant video screen and vowed to work for passage of a bill banning taxpayer funding for abortions. Rep. Diane Black (R-Tenn.) told the crowd that she would fight for a bill she has introduced that would prohibit family planning grants from going to groups that provide abortions, such as Planned Parenthood. Rep. Christopher H. Smith (R-N.J.), chairman of the Congressional Pro-Life Caucus, called President Obama, who has stated his commitment to protecting abortion as a constitutional right, the “abortion president.”

“Know this, Mr. President,” Smith said to loud cheers from the crowd of protesters. “We will never quit.”

The huge crowd is expected to exceed last year’s 400,000 participants as they mark the 40th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision that, along with an accompanying ruling in Doe v. Bolton, allowed abortion on demand in all 50 states.

The official theme of this year’s march is “40 = 55M,” an equation meant to remember the enormous toll on human life that has resulted in nearly 56 million people losing their lives.

CHOSEN ONES

St. Paul was chosen to:
  • "bring [God's] name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel" (Acts 9:15),
  • "suffer for [Jesus'] name" (Acts 9:16),
  • recover his "sight and be filled with Holy Spirit" (Acts 9:17),
  • be baptized into Jesus (Acts 9:18; Rm 6:3),
  • "proclaim in the synagogues that Jesus was the Son of God" (Acts 9:20),
  • silence his opponents "with his proofs that this Jesus was the Messiah" (Acts 9:22),
  • know God's "will, to look upon the Just One, and to hear the sound of His voice" (Acts 22:14),
  • be God's servant and witness (Acts 26:16), and
  • "open the eyes of those to whom" God sent Paul,"to turn them from darkness to light and from the dominion of Satan to God" (Acts 26:18).

You too are chosen by God. You are chosen in many of the same ways that Paul was. You also have been chosen in certain unique ways. The Lord says to you: "It was not you who chose Me, it was I Who chose you to go forth and bear fruit" (Jn 15:16). You are "a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people He claims for His own" (1 Pt 2:9). "Because you are God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with heartfelt mercy, with kindness, humility, meekness, and patience" (Col 3:12). You are a chosen child of God. You are blessed. Your life is very important. You are always loved. You are chosen.

  Father, may we see many miraculous conversions today.

Saran Palin--Obam's Hypocrisy of wanting to save the lives of Children but not the unborn.

Sarah Palin wrote from her Facebook today on the issue of abortion considering it’s the anniversary of Roe vs Wade. And she takes Obama to task for making the protection of children central to his cause to enact tougher gun laws, yet he can’t even vote to protect the life a baby born alive from a botched abortion:

Forty years ago today the Supreme Court rendered its Roe v. Wade decision. Those who believe in the sanctity of human life and long to see America embrace a culture in which innocent life is honored and protected continue to look for a day when humanity is again deemed valuable, where we cherish even those who would be born in “less than ideal circumstances.” Children are our most precious resource and remain the greatest symbol of hope God has given us. This is just one reason why the annual March for Life has been such a powerful aspect of the pro-life movement. This year’s event is Friday, January 25th, and once again a multitude of Americans will gather in Washington, D.C. to show their support for precious little ones.

Our Founding Fathers declared: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.” However, since 1973, millions of children have been denied the basic right upon which all the others hinge: the right to life.

Lately, President Obama has taken to boldly highlighting children in his speeches. Using kids as the backdrop for his gun control speech, the President claimed his commitment to young ones. “If there’s even one life that can be saved, then we’ve got an obligation to try,” he said. He then outlined why gutting our Second Amendment is the means by which he believes we accomplish this. Every law-abiding citizen’s heart is broken when children are the target of men hell-bent on committing acts of evil, and we agree that the safety and protection of innocent life is paramount.

The hypocrisy of it all, however, is that while the President publicly acknowledges the value of “even one life” when it advances his own political agenda, he fails to acknowledge as much when it comes to protecting the lives of children soon to be born. In that same speech, he proclaimed that “when it comes to protecting the most vulnerable among us, we must act now.” Well, who is more vulnerable than those who find themselves at the mercy of others to honor their existence and receive them into our world? Are these—the truly vulnerable—not worthy of the protection of which the President speaks? Why is it that their cause is never the subject of one of his lofty addresses to the nation? Has he ever even mentioned the March for Life that takes place in his own back yard and ought to be worthy of at least a scant mention? If indeed we have an obligation to save “even one life,” when will we hear our President rally Americans to stand alongside women who find themselves in these less than ideal circumstances to offer the support they need, to encourage parents to choose life, and to promote the option of adoption? Instead, he has committed himself to the most liberal of abortion agendas—so much so that as a Senator he couldn’t even bring himself to support the Born Alive Act that would save the lives of babies ALREADY BORN and needing medical aid. Further, he believes taxpayers should betray their consciences by paying for his abortion agenda. This same President has stated he didn’t want his daughters “punished with a baby,” and remarked that it was “above my pay grade” to answer a pastor’s question: “At what point does a baby get human rights?” Yet now we are to somehow believe that children are the priority in his current aggressive campaign against the Second Amendment?

The President continued to herald his support of children in yesterday’s inaugural speech. “Our journey is not complete until all our children, from the streets of Detroit, to the hills of Appalachia, to the quiet lanes of Newtown, know that they are cared for, and cherished, and always safe from harm,” he said—and I agree. Nor is our journey complete, I would add, until all our children soon to be born are also “cared for, and cherished, and always safe from harm.” The President, of course, did not include this, as it does not line up with his worldview or his party’s platform. See, his commitment to our children is selective. When children in the womb are on the chopping block, the President is silent. When he places the Second Amendment, however, on the chopping block, children are his focus. Never mind the fact that his latest proposals would not protect them from evildoers and would, in fact, leave responsible, law-abiding citizens less able to protect them as well.

Clearly, there is no shortage of hypocrisy coming out of Washington, and this is just one example. Americans can expect to be inundated with rhetoric and doublespeak for the duration of this administration. It is truly Orwellian. So it is absolutely imperative that we keep our eyes and ears open; don’t allow yourselves to be sucked in or lulled to sleep. Our freedoms are being compromised, our common sense insulted, and our children exploited. We must be vigilant and engaged, and we must remain hopeful that a better day is coming.

President Barack Obama issued a statement today celebrating the 40-year-old Roe v. wade decision that allowed for virtually unlimited abortions.

Strange Light Claimed In Guadalupe Image After Mexico City Oked Abortion
 
An apparent  (CLICK ON HERE FOR IMAGES>> communique from Dr. Jean-Pierre Dickès, president of the Association of Catholic Nurses and Doctors in France, reports what may have been an unusual luminosity in the famed image of Mary at the Shrine of Guadalupe in Mexico City immediately after that city legalized abortion.
 
The event is said to have occurred on April 24 — the day legislators okayed termination of the unborn up to twelve weeks.
 
"At the end of the Mass, which was offered for the aborted children, the assistant of the Basilica was asking herself what the Most Holy Virgin of Guadalupe was demanding of her," reported Father Luis Matos, superior of  La Communauté des Béatitudes
 
“While many of the faithful were taking photographs of the [tilma] of Tepeyac, exposed and venerated in the Basilica and at the foot of which the crowd of pilgrims filed past on a moving carpet, the image of the Virgin began to erase itself, to give place to an intense light which emanated from her abdomen, constituting a brilliant halo having the form of an embryo. With a centering and an important enlargement it is possible to appreciate the position of the light which truly comes from the stomach of the Holy Virgin and is not a reflection, nor an artifact.”
 
We offer it for your discernment. Such a light had been seen on a previous occasion.
The image materialized on the cactus or “agave” cloak of a Mexican peasant in 1531 and was responsible for the conversion of twelve million Indians. It is now largely used as a symbol of “pro-life” causes in the Americas because Mary appears pregnant in the image, which has been proven miraculous. 
 
“An engineer, Luis Girault, who has studied the picture thus produced, has confirmed the authenticity of the negative, and has been able to specify that it had not been either modified nor altered, by superimposition of another image for example,” stated Dr. Dickès. “He discovered that the image (the picture produced) does not come from any reflection, but literally comes from the inside of the image of the Virgin. The produced light is very white, pure and intense, different from habitual photographic lights produced by flashes. This light is encircled with a halo and appears to float inside the abdomen of the Virgin. This halo has the form and measurements of an embryo. In effect if we again examine more precisely this picture by making it turn in a sagittal plan, we perceive inside the halo some areas of shade that have the characteristics of a human embryo in the maternal womb.”

Ascribing too much importance to visionaries can prevent some people from seeing that they are just as important themselves, and have many opportunities in spite of not being seers, Medjugorje visionary Mirjana Dragicevic-Soldo says in a so far un-translated August 2012 interview with the Italian online magazine Io Acqua e Sapone.

“You do not need visionaries, all you need is an open heart, because the Blessed Virgin says: “Open your heart, and I will be with you.” We seers are only a means, we must only say what God wants to say through our Mother, but you have the same importance, as apostles for our Mother and in bringing this with you into your homes and cities” Mirjana says.

The visionary tells she has plenty of examples, and that these examples highlight the importance of opening the heart by means of prayer and fasting, and asking the Virgin Mary to help:

“After the apparitions on the second day of every month, I have seen many people who came to me to say they had been healed, and they had come to know the love of God. I did not know those people, I did not ask anything for them, but they had their hearts open and asked for their Mother’s help, and she interceded for them with her Son. I tell you this to let you know how much you need our Mother” Mirjana says.

“When Our Lady asks us to fast and to pray the Rosary, it is not because she needs our rosaries or our fasting, but because we need this. Because in this way our heart opens more and more, and the more we see, and so we see the problems of our friend who is carrying a big cross, and we see who needs bread.”

“But this is only when our heart is open. It is useless to pray and fast if you close your eyes when you see someone who needs help and do nothing” says the seer.

“So even if it is just a little, our prayer is good, because we are on a good road and Our Lady will help us. She opens up her heart, she teaches us how to pray stronger, and with the heart. You just have to go and ask the Virgin Mary to help you.”

Mirjana greeting a priest, the only kind of people the visionary receognizes as privileged. “There are the times we are living in now, and there will be the time of the Triumph of the Heart of our Mother. Between these two times, there is a bridge, and that bridge is our priests” she says

If the visionaries are not particularly privileged people, another group is actually set apart and special, says Mirjana:

“As I understand it by looking at the messages, if someone are privileged for our Mother, it is our priests. She says: “They do not need your judgment or your criticism, but your prayers and your love, for God will judge them for how they were as priests, but He will judge you for your behavior with the priests.” Our Lady wants for us that we are recognized for love, only God can judge” she says.

“I am sorry that I cannot tell you more about everything that Our Lady is preparing in all these years, but I can tell you one thing: there are the times we are living in now, and there will be the time of the Triumph of the Heart of our Mother.”

“Between these two times, there is a bridge, and that bridge is our priests. That is why Our Lady insists so much on prayer for them, because that bridge must be very strong to ensure that everyone can pass. Our Lady said: “With them, I will triumph.”

HOW DID THEY KNOW?






Lawrence Anthony, a legend in South Africa and author of 3 books including the bestseller The Elephant Whisperer, bravely rescued wildlife and rehabilitated elephants all over the globe from human atrocities, including the courageous rescue of Baghdad Zoo animals during US invasion in 2003.

On March 7, 2012 Lawrence Anthony died. His family tells of a solemn procession on March 10 that defies human explanation.

For 12 hours, two herds of wild South African elephants slowly made their way through the Zululand bush until they reached the house of late author Lawrence Anthony, the conservationist who saved their lives. The formerly violent, rogue elephants, destined to be shot a few years ago as pests, were rescued and rehabilitated by Anthony, who had grown up in the bush and was known as the “Elephant Whisperer.”


For two days the herds loitered at Anthony’s rural compound on the vast Thula Thula game reserve in the South African KwaZulu – to say good-bye to the man they loved. But how did they know he had died March 7? Known for his unique ability to calm traumatized elephants, Anthony had become a legend. He is the author of three books, Babylon Ark, detailing his efforts to rescue the animals at Baghdad Zoo during the Iraqi war, the forthcoming The Last Rhinos, and his bestselling The Elephant Whisperer.


There are two elephant herds at Thula Thula. According to his son Dylan, both arrived at the Anthony family compound shortly after Anthony’s death.“They had not visited the house for a year and a half and it must have taken them about 12 hours to make the journey,” Dylan is quoted in various local news accounts. “The first herd arrived on Sunday and the second herd, a day later. They all hung around for about two days before making their way back into the bush.”Elephants have long been known to mourn their dead. In India, baby elephants often are raised with a boy who will be their lifelong “mahout.” The pair develop legendary bonds – and it is not uncommon for one to waste away without a will to live after the death of the other.

Medjugorje Visionary Speaks At Shrine Of Saint Padre Pio

 The shrine of Saint Padre Pio will host Medjugorje visionary Mirjana Dragicevic-Soldo on February 24. Mirjana will be one of nine speakers for an all-day event at San Giovanni Rotondo where Saint Pio lived and preached for most of his time as a priest.

One of the most revered and beloved saints of the 20th century, but also a priest who was persecuted and met with fierce opposition for much of his time on earth, Saint Pio bore the stigmata, was known for reading souls in and outside his confessional, and also for the gift of bilocation. He was canonized by Pope John Paul II in 2002.

Saint Pio further had the gift of prophecy, and his 1968 statement to Bosnian pilgrims, "The Madonna will soon visit your country", has been tied to Medjugorje.

Three Very Beautiful Prayers
Which are very useful to a dying person, and should be prayed often as an act of mercy.
There once was a Pope in Rome who was surrounded by many sins. The Lord God struck him with a fatal illness. When he saw that he was dying he summoned Cardinals, Bishops and learned persons and said to them: “My dear friends! What comfort can you give me now that I must die, and when I deserve eternal damnation for my sins?” No one answered him. One of them, a pious curate named John, said: “Father, why do you doubt the Mercy of God?” The Pope replied: “What comfort can you give me now that I must die and fear that I’ll be damned for my sins?” John replied: “I’ll read three prayers over you; I hope, you’ll be comforted and that you’ll obtain Mercy from God.” The Pope was unable to say more. The curate and all those present knelt and said an Our Father, then the following prayers:
Prayer 1.

 Lord Jesus Christ! Thou Son of God and Son of the Virgin Mary, God and Man, Thou who in fear sweated blood for us on the Mount of Olives in order to bring peace, and to offer Thy Most Holy Death to God Thy Heavenly Father for the salvation of this dying person… If it be, however, that by his sins he merits eternal damnation, then may it be deflected from him. This, O Eternal Father through Our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Dear Son, Who liveth and reigneth in union with The Holy Spirit now and forever. Amen.
Prayer 2.

 Lord Jesus Christ! Thou who meekly died on the trunk of the Cross for us, submitting Thy Will completely to Thy Heavenly Father in order to bring peace and to offer Thy most Holy Death to Thy Heavenly Father in order to free…(this person)…and to hide from him what he has earned with his sins; grant this O Eternal Father! Through Our Lord Jesus Thy Son, who liveth and reigneth with Thee in union with the Holy Spirit now and forever. Amen.
Prayer 3.

 Lord Jesus Christ! Thou Who remained silent to speak through the mouths of the Prophets; I have drawn Thee to me through Eternal Love, which love drew Thee from Heaven into the body of the Virgin, which love drew Thee from the body of the Virgin into the valley of this needful world, which Love kept Thee 33 years in this world, and as a sign of Great Love, Thou hast given Thy drink, as a sign of great love, Thou has consented to be a prisoner and to be led from one judge to another and as a sign of great love Thou has consented to be condemned to death, and hast consented to die and to be buried and truly rise, and appeared to Thy Holy Mother and all the Holy Apostles, and as a sign of great love Thou hast ascended, under Thy own strength and power, and sitteth at the right hand of God Thy heavenly Father, and Thou has sent Thy Holy Spirit into the heart of Thy Apostles and the hearts of all who hope and believe in Thee. Through Thy sign of Eternal love, open heaven today and take this dying person… and all his sins into the realm of Thy Heavenly Father, that he may reign with Thee now and forever. Amen.
Meanwhile the Pope died. The curate persevered to the third hour, then the Pope appeared to him in body and comforting him; his countenence as brilliant as the sun, his clothes as white as snow, and he said: “My dear brother! Whereas I was supposed to be a child of damnation I’ve become a child of happiness. As you recited the first prayer many of my sins fell from me as rain from Heaven, and as you recited the second Prayer I was purified, as a goldsmith purifies gold in a hot fire. I was still further purified as you recited the third prayer. Then I saw Heaven open and the Lord Jesus standing on the Right Hand of God the Father who said to me: “Come, all thy sins are forgiven thee, you’ll be and remain in the realm of My Father forever. Amen!”
With these words my soul separated from my body and the angels of God led it to Eternal Joy.
As the curate heard this he said: “O Holy Father! I can’t tell these things to anyone, for they won’t believe me.” Then the Pope said: “Truly I tell thee, the Angel of God stands with me and has written the prayers in letters of gold for the consolement of all sinners. If a person had committed all the sins in the world, but that the three prayers shall have been read (over him) at his end (death), all his sins wil be forgiven him, even though his soul was supposed to suffer until the Last Judgement, it will be redeemed (freed).
The person who hears them read, he won’t die an unhappy death also in whose house they will be read. Therefore take these prayers and carry them into St. Peter’s Basilica and lay them in the Chapel named the Assumption of Mary, for certain consolation. The person who will be near death, who reads them or hears them read gains 400 years indulgence for the days he was supposed to suffer in Purgatory because of his guilt. Also who reads this prayer or hears it read, the hour of his death shall be revealed to him. Amen!

Dear Family of Mary!
 
"Dear children, with much love and patience I strive to make your hearts like unto mine. I strive, by my example, to teach you humility, wisdom and love because I need you; I cannot do without you my children. According to God's will I am choosing you, by His strength I am strengthening you. Therefore, my children, do not be afraid to open your hearts to me. I will give them to my Son and in return, He will give you the gift of divine peace. You will carry it to all those whom you meet, you will witness God's love with your life and you will give the gift of my Son through yourselves. Through reconciliation, fasting and prayer, I will lead you. Immeasurable is my love. Do not be afraid. My children, pray for the shepherds. May your lips be shut to every judgment, because do not forget that my Son has chosen them and only He has the right to judge. Thank you." (January 2, 2013)
 
I have been discovering echoes of St. Louis de Montfort's "True Devotion" in Our Lady's messages lately. For instance, Our Lady tells us:
 
"Dear children, with much love and patience I strive to make your hearts like unto mine. I strive, by my example, to teach you humility, wisdom and love because I need you; I cannot do without you my children. According to God's will I am choosing you, by His strength I am strengthening you.
 
Now listen to St. Louis:
 
*47. I said that this will happen especially towards the end of the world, and indeed soon, because Almighty God and his holy Mother are to raise up great saints who will surpass in holiness most other saints as much as the cedars of Lebanon tower above little shrubs. This has been revealed to a holy soul whose life has been written by M. de Renty.
48. These great souls filled with grace and zeal will be chosen to oppose the enemies of God who are raging on all sides. They will be exceptionally devoted to the Blessed Virgin. Illumined by her light, strengthened by her food, guided by her spirit, supported by her arm, sheltered under her protection, they will fight with one hand and build with the other.
 
St. Louis was given to know that God, through Our Lady, would choose "saints", i.e. her children, to help her to spread the Kingdom of God in the latter days. She would choose them. And Our Lady of Medjugorje tells us that she is choosing us! St. Louis said she would illumine them and guide them. Our Lady today tells us she is teaching us! St. Louis said she would strengthen them. Our Lady tells us she is strengthening us! St. Louis said she would support them, shelter them and protect them. Hasn't she been doing just that for all of us? Her presence in Medjugorje has changed our lives and brought us into the peace of God!
 
*Now again, listen to Our Lady:
 
"Therefore, my children, do not be afraid to open your hearts to me. I will give them to my Son and in return, He will give you the gift of divine peace. You will carry it to all those whom you meet, you will witness God's love with your life and you will give the gift of my Son through yourselves. Through reconciliation, fasting and prayer, I will lead you."
 
*And St. Louis said:
 
56. But what will they be like, these servants, these slaves, these children of Mary?
They will be ministers of the Lord who, like a flaming fire, will enkindle everywhere the fires of divine love. They will become, in Mary's powerful hands, like sharp arrows, with which she will transfix her enemies.
 
They will be as the children of Levi, thoroughly purified by the fire of great tribulations and closely joined to God. They will carry the gold of love in their heart, the frankincense of prayer in their mind and the myrrh of mortification in their body. They will bring to the poor and lowly everywhere the sweet fragrance of Jesus, but they will bring the odor of death to the great, the rich and the proud of this world.
 
St. Louis says that Our Lady's servants will carry "The gold of love in their hearts". Our Lady tells us we will witness God love with our lives. St. Louis says they will have "the frankincense of prayer in their mind and the myrrh of mortification in their body." Our Lady tells us she will lead us through reconciliation, fasting (mortification) and prayer. Truly, she is building us up, even as St. Louis foretold. She is forming us into her little army of children, made in the image of her Son.
 
I find these parallels so very interesting, because for years I have tried to understand St. Louis de Montfort, and now through Our Lady of Medjugorje, is see his prophecies happening! They are happening in our day!
 
May we open our hearts to Mary, and not be afraid, because she really does need us! She needs us to be her chosen ones, her little ones who will help to build the Kingdom of God.
